of kids drop out from organized youth sports every year
58% to 51%
Kids transitioning from playing U10 to U11 (7v7 to 9v9) are expected to cope with a 33% increase in field length and a 20% increase in field width.
Fun is cited as the primary reason for participation in youth sports.
Injury and Burnout are suggested as two of the primary causes for attrition from sports.
Kidgility was founded in the fall of 2024 after Coaches Mamoon & Ethan noticed that numerous young soccer players were struggling with basic movements that are crucial to the sport. Fundamental skills such as jumping, sliding, bouncing, opening the hips, and sprinting at full speed for over twenty yards were limited to only a small number of more physically mature players.
Additionally, we saw that many young players quit the sport entirely when transitioning to larger fields. Twelve-year-olds moving to 11-a-side fields struggled to touch the ball or impact the game. These players were also unprepared for the amount of running required, leading to injuries and a lack of confidence as they were dominated by more physically mature players. The same issues arose with 10-year-olds transitioning from 7-a-side to 9-a-side fields. These young players were not given enough time to master their current field sizes before being rushed to play on larger fields.
Based on these observations, we created a science-based training program designed to enhance physical and technical skills, including balance, coordination, speed, strength, agility, and fundamental ball mastery. Our goals are to help young athletes fulfill their potential and build confidence by maximizing each player’s physical & technical capacity, while preventing injuries by building fundamental movement skills and strength.
Better = more skilled,
Better = more balanced,
Better = stronger,
Better = faster, more agile & with quicker reaction times
It takes consistent practice and time.
Its non-linear – its a bumpy ride.
Requires a growth mindset
Requires a focus on the journey/process.
Fun is the #1 cited reason for young players dropping from sports.
Fun = activities that are exciting, competitive, and challenging
Fun != goofing around
No laps, no lines and no lectures
We use the soccer ball most of the time
Activities backed by science
Perceptual, cognitive and motor skills
Develop physical performance
Promote Learning by doing
Sharper reflexes and quicker thinking help players anticipate plays, intercept passes, and react to opponents effectively.
Improved acceleration, quick turns, and better balance allow players to outrun defenders and change direction seamlessly.
Enhanced first touch, tight ball control, and confident 1v1 moves help players maintain possession under pressure.
Better touch and coordination lead to more precise passing, improved weak-foot ability, and powerful, accurate shots.
Increased stability, proper movement mechanics, and balance training reduce the likelihood of common soccer injuries.
As players develop speed, skill, and control, they gain confidence and improve performance in soccer and other sports.
Body weight activities that are focused on individual form Fully insured program
Smaller group sizes allow coaches to provide feedback on individual form.
We are an independent entity. We do not recruit players for any club.
